Construction Progress

January 2021

R&F is pleased to announce that temporary landscaping works have been completed at the Vauxhall
Square site. Although this land is private, the pedestrian experience will be enhanced by removing the
hoarding from the edge of the footpath.

Milestones met in the last quarter:

One Nine Elms

The River Tower’s concrete core has now reached Level 39 while the City Tower’s core has reached Level 25.

Additionally, structural steelwork has begun to be installed in the Wandsworth Box. The team has installed façade panels up to Level 20 on the River Tower and has begun to install them on the City Tower.

Nine Elms Square

The team has made significant progress with Phase 1 works. Building No.8 and Building No.9 are topped out at Level 53 and 35 respectively. The frames for Buildings No.1 and No.10 are completed up to Level 5 and Level 3. The team has installed façade panels up to Level 33 on Building No.8 and Level 18 on Building No.9.

For Phase 2, works to build the ground floor sewer slab and the car park have been carried out.

A look ahead to the next quarter:

One Nine Elms

Over the next quarter, the team will continue pouring concrete for the River and City Tower cores and slabs, while continuing to install the façade panels. The team will also be advancing building works for the Wandsworth Box.

Nine Elms Square

In the next three months, the team will be continuing works for Phase 1, including temporary landscaping works in the podium area and continuing the façade works for Buildings No.8 and No.9. The frames for Buildings No.1 and No.10 are being waterproofed and will be built higher, and façade works up to Level 4 are taking place for the former.

For Phase 2, the team will be continuing to build the ground floor sewer slab and car park.
